WORLD EXCLUSIVE: MAN CONTROLS two prosthetic arms with his mind

DOCTORS they WIRED directly into his nervous

Until recently lost both arms in an accident would probably mean the end of the putting grip of a patient. Not so for Leslie Baugh to carry the first shoulder-level double amputee and control two complex, thought-controlled prostheses.
Baugh is not the first, to control the robotic limbs with his spirit. Some researchers are already working on giving amputees secure their sense of touch. But the technology is new enough that was four eyes never tried.
In order to prepare his body for the devices Baugh underwent an operation called targeted muscle reinnervation. The method rerouted nerves which are used to control its members to interact with the prosthesis.
Next, on a computer he trained, learned to work with virtual models as pattern recognition software to apply signals from his brain to his intended movements. Then Johns Hopkins researchers fitted him with a personalized socket to hold the prosthesis his body and translate his mental control.
As they mounted the robot limbs, he conducted a series of two-handed tasks over the first two independent arms with his mind ever manipulate simultaneously.
In the future, according to Johns Hopkins, he is able to take them home with you and her. In his day to day life
