EEEK! A winding ROBOT SNAKE

An earlier version of the system with the name "JetSnake", was used in a tunnel boring machine at the Port of Miami. Snakebots offer a lot of flexibility, fitting rooms by cumbersome for larger, more rigid body. Earlier versions have found work as a rescue tools, hand-like alternatives, surgical tools, and even as part of a mini-drone-Voltron.
